Sarah guilted me into chaperoning the 3rd grade field trip to the zoo. It was fun and I was glad to see that all 9 year old girls act like Sarah. She's not the only weird one...and hopefully she'll outgrow it soon.

We are a household of big-time Harry Potter fans. We didn't catch this one in the theater but it is pretty awesome on blu-ray! It followed the book very close both in plot and general mood. Very slow, dark and sad. We can't wait for the second part!

I absolutely love the outfits little girls come up with! I think the thing that kills me the most is the thought and care that goes into an outfit like this. It is no accident that she is wearing patriotic knee socks and pink boots with her mint green southern belle hoop skirt dress. This was done deliberately. And this was worn out in public when we ran errands, thank-you-very-much. These kids...I love them so much it hurts.

I know it's not too exciting, but it works. I finally moved this dry-erase calendar out of the laundry room to a front and center position in our house...the fridge. Much more effective! I've only missed a couple of things since using this "new" system, a big improvement over missing probably at least one appointment a week. I just can't keep it all in my head. There is just too much stuff going on and too small a brain to store it in!
