Montana

A very fast, very fun trip! We got there at about 9:30pm Friday night and the trip went pretty well. It's tough when there is only one grown-up but we managed just fine. Hodgson and Grandma were sure happy to see us and as always, they had warm, cozy beds waiting for us. So nice.

On Saturday we played and played all day. Even Kaden came over and spent all afternoon and evening with us. Then after dinner, Kaden's mom took the boys over to open gym night at the high school and they played basketball and kickball for an hour or so. Sunday, some of went in to Dillon for a quick trip to the grocery store. (Diapers and Coke) Davis and Hodgson went out shooting "pot-guts" while everyone else napped.

We left early Monday on the tail of a snow storm and made real good time home. No matter where you go or what you do, it feels so good to be home. We missed Daddy.

Daddy's weekend was not quite so fun. Mike (the stud Belgian) died after being in poor health all winter. He was over 20 years old. It is hard to lose such a beautiful, gentle pet. Poor Chance, having to deal with that all alone. "It's just part of having animals", he tells us. The worst part.
